Desert boots have been known throughout the world for decades, becoming one of the most famous footwear. But why are they called "desert boots"?
These boots were used extensively by British soldiers in the Western Desert Campaign of World War II. These boots were durable and highly resistant as well as comfortable as they were designed to offer protection as well as withstand all weather and harsh desert conditions. Hence the popular name.
These boots became very popular in the 50s and many people from different countries liked them as they were amazed because they were different and unique. In countries like UK, France, Italy they gained a lot of reputation. And the success came to the US when various music groups began to wear desert boots such as: Oasis, The Beatles, Bob Dylan or Steve McQueen.
Today, desert boots come in many variations, and there are hundreds of colors. People continue to like it because it is a very comfortable, durable, practical and original model.
